Maryland has migrated to the latest version of the TIER II MANAGER™ Version 4.0. With this upgrade, the system provides expanded capabilities for regional emergency responders to access a comprehensive hazardous material system for planning and response and provides State Level administrators with a significantly expanded set of capabilities. Maryland first went live with TIER II MANAGER™ Version 1.1 in 2003, achieving a streamlined approach to meet Emergency Planning & Community Right-To-Know Act (EPCRA) requirements. Since the initial launch of the web- based hazardous material reporting program, MDE has demonstrated great success in online participation from chemical facilities, saving thousands of hours of time and resources for compliance purposes. With version 4.0 of the TIER II MANAGER™, Maryland's system has moved to a centralized platform enabling thousands of Emergency Responders to access real time chemical inventory, Site Plans, MSDS, hazardous analysis, mapping, and chemical risk guides.
